Marc Lester / Anchorage Daily News A crowd gathered to watch the flyover at Kulis Air National Guard Base. Air National Guard members and their families said goodbye to Kulis Air National Guard Base on Saturday, February 12, 2011. The wing is being relocated to Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. On Saturday morning, the entire fleet of C-130 and HC-130 airplanes and HH-60 helicopters overflew both Kulis and JBER as part of Saturday's Flyaway Ceremony. Kulis has been a base for the Alaska Air National Guard since 1952.
